New Equalities Bill

On 28th March 2009 the Government published a new Great Britain Equalities Bill which brings together all the strands of diversity within one piece of legislation. This will become law in April 2010 and will bring with it new and challenging expectations on housing organisations. It will impact on regulation and inspection, monitoring and review and engagement with local communities.

Our housing consultants have many years' experience working within RSLs and Local Government housing departments and have a deep understanding of issues around equality, race relations, disability, sex discrimination and human rights. We have just completed an intensive piece of work for Birmingham City Council on Equality Impact Needs Assessment.
