In the current financial climate all public services are facing an unprecedented period of financial and operational challenge. Demographic factors and rising public expectations are driving demand upwards as resources contract. Whether it involves contracting out, shared services, collaborative procurement, service integration or better use of assets, the aim is ‘more with less’.
Our support for clients regularly delivers this. Our experience embraces partnership work in local government, housing, health and social care. Our consultants provide operational and consultancy experience of strategy and service reviews, developing business cases and options appraisals. This is supported by our systems thinking and lean credentials, looking at services from the customer / user perspective and shaping solutions accordingly.
Our work in health and social care has involved the primary and acute sectors, joint commissioning with local government. We have worked with the independent health sector, developing solutions to diagnostic provision with a range of partners. We have provided support to primary care trusts on patient choice, estates investment, in line with their estates and service delivery strategies, service redesign and the implementation of the commissioner / provider split.
We have also worked in the public sector on procurement issues and developed and implemented a B2B procurement process for a group of NHS trusts. We have brought to bear private and public sector procurement expertise, proprietary methodologies, project management and commercial awareness.
