TIM RICHARDSON
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Tim is the managing director of The Consultancy Company. He specialises in Industry and Supply where he has an outstanding record of achieving step changes in the effectiveness of companies' manufacturing operations.
Comfortable working at all levels, Tim takes a ‘hands-on' approach helping senior managers understand and realise the full potential of their manufacturing operations. His approach is built on a thorough understanding of the philosophies underpinning modern manufacturing techniques. Tim, therefore, has developed a passionate belief in the need to change the hearts and minds of people when applying the tools and techniques associated with Just in Time, Cellular Manufacturing, Short Cycle Manufacturing, etc.
Tim has an MBA, he is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow in Manufacturing Management at Cranfield University. (read more)
PETER BROXTON
MARKET DIRECTOR - INDUSTRY & SUPPLY
Peter heads up our Industry and Supply team. He is a Supply Chain professional with over 15 years experience at Director level in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and FMCG sectors. He has held product development, technical, programme management and single/multi-site manufacturing roles in the UK and the USA
Peter has a passion for improving customer service through driving operational excellence in batch and process industries and speeding up the New Product Development process to allow quicker access to commercial markets.
Major, sustainable improvements have been achieved by Peter in his various roles by using effective change management methodologies where the main focus is on building team capability/belief, agreeing the key performance indicators and the achievement of stretching targets.
Peter has a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Microbiology (Manchester University). (read more)
PETER HOPKINS
MARKET DIRECTOR - HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
Peter heads up our Health and Social Care team. He is an experienced healthcare planner and project manager with a track record of adding value to healthcare providers.
Peter's seven years in the health sector include the project directorship of a £4 million hospice re-build programme. He has also provided strategic planning and consultancy services to clients in the voluntary, private and public sector. Peter's NHS experience has included work in primary and secondary care and with mental health services. His healthcare planning work has included service analysis and planning; the design of service & estates strategies and the completion of strategic reviews. His project management work has included high profile reviews for a London Strategic Health Authority.
Peter has worked for the Department of Health and has an MBA from the Nuffield Institute for Health, University of Leeds. (read more)
RICHARD WARD
MARKET DIRECTOR - GOVERNMENT & LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Richard heads up our Government and Local Communities team He is an enthusiastic Housing professional with over 30 years of experience at all levels in Housing and Social Services. Adept at facilitating strategic change in an environment where uncertainty is often the norm, his skills in problem solving in a resourceful manner and his energetic style of developing ownership ensure that clients achieve sustainable results.
A determined advocate of finding new and better ways of working, Richard does so through a commitment and dedication to working inclusively with people. Accompanied by his total focus on customer choice and an engaging 'can do' attitude he has long championed residents' rights and has a successful track record of enabling cultural, organisational and structural change within both Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlord sectors.
Richard is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing [APEX mentor] and he has the Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification. (read more)
FRANCES TAYLOR
HEAD OF SUPPORT SERVICES
Frances heads up our Support Services team, supporting our consultants, providing the practice administration interface with clients and facilitating the smooth delivery of projects.
With a career background, prior to consultancy, of working with directors' teams in banking and subsequently brewing, she has a broad experience of business systems and customer facing environments in both business-to-business markets and in direct consumer relationships. With an 'eye for detail' and a highly developed adaptive capability she seamlessly integrates the quality demands of our profession with the sometimes unusually complex information needs of both consultants and clients to deliver the right answers on time and to the highest quality standards.
Indeed, Frances is also responsible for ensuring our compliance to our quality systems: ISO9000:2000 - having achieved our certification in less than 8 months; and Investors in People, where our feedback has been 'you are one of the few organisations that really lives the standard and in doing so actually exceeds it comfortably'. Calm under pressure, an attribute perhaps gained from being an original member of the practice, Frances has a reputation for never letting people down and is highly regarded by colleagues, suppliers and clients.
